Speech & Communication

I provide specialist assessment and treatment for people with speech and communication difficulties resulting from acquired brain injuries and progressive neurological conditions. 
This includes:

• Speech difficulties (dysarthria and apraxia of speech)
  
  
• Language difficulties affecting expressive language (e.g. word finding difficulties), auditory comprehension (processing of spoken language), reading and writing e.g receptive and expressive aphasia
  
  
• Social communication skills - the ability to interact effectively with others e.g. effective listening skills, topic maintenance, turntaking skills, non-verbal communication and positive communication behaviours
